Missouri E85 MO flex fuel corn bio

  • Flex Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) give you a choice in how you fuel your vehicles. They give you the opportunity to use the same gasoline you have been using for decades or the option to use an alternative fuel that is better for your car, the environment, local economies, and our country’s energy security. Flex Fuel gives you a choice to make a difference!

Flex Fuel Vehicles can run on E85 fuel (85% ethanol 15% gas) or regular unleaded gas. There are no switches to flip or changes to make to the vehicle. You simply make a choice when you pull up to a station that offers E85. FFVs automatically adjust the Flex Fuel engine to run on any amount of ethanol fuel up to 85%. This means today you can fuel with E85 at your local pump, and tomorrow if it’s not available when you're on the road, you can fuel with regular gasoline. It’s your choice!

Just as the different vehicle manufacturers have their own unique badges that label their flex fuel vehicles (see above), E85 stations may have different logos on their E85 pumps like the ones below. Although the logos are slightly different, the product will still be the same; clean burning, domestically produced, renewable fuel.  That's E85!
