Identify your E85 Vehicle.
Today it has become easy to determine if a new vehicle is a Flex Fuel by simply checking the gas cap. All FFVs produced since the 2008 model year have a yellow gas cap to help identify them as a FFV. So what about all the FFVs produced before 2008? Well, there are several different ways to identify if your vehicle can utilize E85.
Look for one of the FFV badges on the exterior of the vehicle, generally located on the rear panel or just in front of the passenger side door.

Look inside the fuel door to see if there is a sticker like the ones below.

If you don’t see either of these identifiers, simply check the 8th character of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The 8th character of the VIN identifies the vehicles engine type. (see diagram of VIN below)

You can find your VIN number on the inside seal of your car's door as well as on the dash just above your windshield wipers (see picture below)
